The SOA returned this morning from the CJ Hamren 2 day charter with 53 bluefin and 28 yellowtail. Captain Luke reported fun bluefin and yellowtail fishing on the banks. The guys blew up a school of bigger bluefin off of the bank and managed to land a few but lost most of them. 30lb flyline was the go-to method fishing on the anchor with a 40-50lb flyline giving a better chance at the larger grade of fish that are around. The forecast is getting nicer for tonight's departure with the Scanlon 1.5 day trip. Wish them luck!
